To encourage and support researchers to make their study data more accessible, the Mobilize Center is developing data-sharing communities. Through these communities, we seek to understand and overcome barriers to data sharing. Our specific goals for the data communities we create are to:  

  • Provide useful benchmarks to accelerate algorithm development
  • Facilitate the aggregation of data to conduct analyses with greater statistical power, and 
  • Provide a foundation for machine-learning-based predictive modeling

We are currently launching a data-sharing community focused on the prediction of metabolic energy expenditure from other objective measurements, such as optical motion capture, IMUs, and EMG.
