BCR Magazine

The Biomedical Computation Review (BCR) magazine was created by Simbios, an NIH National Center for Biomedical Computing, in 2005 to highlight research across all aspects of biomedical computation. It is an outstanding resource for teaching, provides reference material for those considering entering the field, and also broadens the knowledge base of individuals already working in the field. Especially popular are the “Under the Hood” tutorials, which have covered software coding practices and algorithms, such as Markov State Models and vertex classification. Under the management of the Mobilize Center, we will continue to publish BCR and will expand its coverage of big data topics, providing an accessible entry point for individuals interested in learning more about data science and its applications to biomedicine.
